Instant Carrot Beans Thoran Kit, a 400 g pack with 150 g carrot, 150 g beans, 50 g grated coconut, and shallots, green chillies and curry leaves. The two vegetables make a colourful, mildly sweet thoran that children usually enjoy.

Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, add the chopped shallots and curry leaves, then the coconut for a minute. Add the vegetables with salt and a splash of water, cover and cook on a slow flame until tender.

Refrigerate on arrival and cook the same day.
