Peeled Garlic (veluthulli) in a 100 g pack, ready to crush, slice or grind. Garlic is used generously in Kerala cooking, from the ginger-garlic base of chicken curry and beef roast to fish curry, rasam and mezhukkupuratti. It is also the star of veluthulli achar, the tangy garlic pickle served with rice.

With the cloves already peeled, you can make ginger-garlic paste or a quick tempering in minutes.

Peeled garlic should be refrigerated in a dry, closed container and used within a few days. Avoid washing it until just before use.
